6.6 Upgrade

22 May 2017 - 02:05 PM

6.6 is released as an update, but there is no change log, or even a comment in the X2 blog (the last entry is about 6.5, in February).

Has anyone attempted the update? What are the changes?

I'm all for being the open source bug testing community and forming some constructive feedback for X2, but it feels a little too vague to commit.

Optimizing for Google PageSpeed Insights

31 March 2017 - 05:15 PM

Google offers a tool to check web sites for speed optimization and chances are more than good that the page speed, both measured and as a ranking optimizations not completed, will affect search engine ranking performance.

Enabling the X2CRM web tracker puts an uncompressed and un-minified script on every page. PageSpeed Insights ranks both of these as "Should Fix" problems.

Filtering/Dropping Web Activity

17 March 2017 - 09:53 AM

Is there anyway to delete, or at least filter, web activity by your own accounts? I have a pretty low volume web site, and use the site throughout the day, so the activity log is filled with noise:

Show Unread/Read Counts on Tabs

12 March 2017 - 05:48 PM

Using IMAP slows things down a bit (seriously, I'm dying for you to implement local caching like SuiteCRM, but otherwise a bang up job, love ya)... so, why not add unread/read counts to the e-mail inbox tabs to save unnecessary switching.

Cheers

E-mail Templates for Non-Contacts

09 March 2017 - 04:12 PM

Sometimes you have to send out an e-mail to someone that's really not worth filling up your Contacts list with, but you would like to use a template when sending them a message. For example, if someone starts on on-line chat via my website, but it is later established that they are not a sales lead, I would still like to follow up on their impression of the service received.

Currently, starting a new e-mail, outside of a Contact or Account, goes to an e-mail form that does not have the "Template: [drop down list]" selection.

Also, why not add e-mail addresses to Leads? I'd quick create a Lead to hold on to the conversation exchange...
