Service Module Notifications

Is there anyway to incorporate an automated email to an assigned technician that a service request/case has been created and assigned to them at all? I know the person filling out the web form gets emailed automatically, but a tech or employee does not. This would be useful as a consultant who does traveling to customers would be away from their computer while working during the day.

You could do it with some custom coding, the function you'd be looking for is "public function actionWebForm()" in protected/modules/services/controllers/ServicesController.php

 

You would probably just need to add another email recipient in the part of that method that actually handles the email sending. Please review our customization framework here: http://wiki.x2engine.com/wiki/Customization_Framework before modifying the code so that your changes are upgrade safe.
