Google Calender not showing in new v6.5

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I completed my integration with Google. I can log in and when I select my calendar setting it shows my various Google calendars in the drop-down. Meaning it does integrate and fetch info from Google regarding my calenders.

However the actual calendar doesn't show anything. Am I missing something to display the calendar?

Thanks

Eugene

Hi Eugene,

What about the events local to X2, are they visible on the calendar view? You may just need to toggle the checkbox on your calendar in the left-hand action menu, it may not be selected by default. If it is selected, you may wish to try refreshing the page with the dev tools network tab open to check for any failing requests.

Hi Ray,

Looking at the console in network I am getting a error.

I tested local stuff. Nothing shows. The calendar event creator below the calendar also doesn't work. But I created actions with dates. Calendar still empty. Seems to be a JS issue. Its not the toggles to view the various user calenders either. Tested with them.

Must I mail you something? You are welcome to log into the system.

Eugene

Hi Cobaltor,

we found the problem. Not sure where it started but it involves a rather technical explanation and solution.

However, the fix was for me to simply delete my own calendar and I had a test calendar which I also deleted. I did this in the DB itself. Then just re-create a calendar and in your preferences make it your default. All fixed.

I still have to test the Google integration but will upload my findings.

Hope that helps

I was also having issues with Calendar data not showing, even though other Google integrations seemed to work and previous version of X2 also worked one way.  My fix was to enable the CalDav API.  I don't recall needing to enable this previously in other versions of X2CRM, but once I did for 6.5 it fixed my issue.

The CalDav API requirement was introduced with 6.5 to support the backend changes involved in the calendaring overhaul. The required APIs have been updated on the Google Integration page from the admin panel, so it may be good to double-check your APIs are enabled for the features you'd like to use, for example the Static Maps API and Geocoding API.
