wooly 0
The System Requirements just state "PHP version 5.3 or later". Just wondering if 7.0 is supported as I've installed x2crm on 7.0 and am having a few issues. It's my first install, so unsure as to whether it's related to the PHP version, but starting to wonder. Cheers,Wooly.
alt_f4 57
Using PHP 7.0.1 causes some errors on our install, so we went back to 5.6.
X2Derek 66
Hi wooly, PHP 7 is not supported in X2CRM version 5.4.3. This is due to PHP forwards compatibility issues in both the X2 and Yii codebase. We will, however, be introducing support for PHP 7 in our upcoming 5.4.4 update, which should be available in the next week or two. I've updated the system requirements on our wiki. Derek Edit: Added mention of wiki edit.
wooly 0
Thanks for the responses. Just curious, are the devs expecting to see any benefits in using PHP 7?
X2Derek 66
Hi wooly, Yes, early benchmarking results indicate a roughly 2x performance increase (compared to installations running PHP 5.3) on the Contacts screen. This is on an installation running locally with the built-in dummy data. Performance benefits will be smaller depending on network latency and database server performance.
