  2. Hey there X2 wizards, Running 3.5.2 Professional here. Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place but I have yet to find a password recovery option for X2 which, imo, is a pretty glaring deficiency this far into the project. Please tell me I'm simply blind and not looking in the right place. Otherwise consider this a +1 for the feature.

  4. Understood. I first stumbled upon it as a free plugin for SugarCRM. Of course the free version doesn't come with all the bells. Anyway glad to see real time chat is something you're investigating.
  5. Saw this some time back. Not sure how easy it would be to integrate with existing code but it's a thought http://codologic.com/page/
  6. Agreed. Some might wish for a flash fallback but I'm not convinced it would be worth the extra bloat. The only issue I forsee with html5 would be that not all modern browsers behave the same relative to the <audio> and <video> tags. They're all slowly coming around to universally supporting mp3, wav, mp4, WebM and ogg but it's still a mixed bag.
  7. Sorry if this has been posted before. I'm quite surprised with as complete as X2 already is that there isn't a native embedded player for media types such as MP3, MP4 etc. Just as I can preview a jpg, png media type directly inside X2, it would be very helpful to be able to preview in app audio/video prior to downloading.
  8. Demitri, Jake and everyone at X2... First of all, great product, and yet at the risk of being a real downer here, this problem could not have come at a worse time for me for a lot of reasons. Here's the "Readers Digest" version. I have been evaluating several open source solutions for our company the better part of a year now.Based on the frequency of updates and generally reliable update process I had narrowed it down to X2 and Zurmo in the past 3 monthsFriday September 13 I made the recommendation to my partners to license X2Engine and move forward with our plansPending approval of the pa
  9. Thanks for the response. I'm seriously dead in the water here. My PHP installation is 5.3.13. Typically when running the update it first confirms whether all requirements are met which in this case it reported affirmative. I selected update and walked away. When I returned I was met with the error noted: CException Alias "application.components.permissions.X2ControllerPermissionsBehavior" is invalid. Make sure it points to an existing PHP file. I have direct access to the server so I can push/delete any files required but I am not sure how to proceed or where to locate X2ControllerPermis
  10. Well now things are really horked up. On a lark I decided to attempt the upgrade again from a different browser (Chrome this time). I have completely lost access to the application as the website now returns the following: CException Alias "application.components.permissions.X2ControllerPermissionsBehavior" is invalid. Make sure it points to an existing PHP file. Help? NOTE: this occurred after X2 had deployed the 3.5.2 update announced earlier this evening.
  11. I am encountering a similar problem migrating from 3.1 to 3.5.1 The package download halts at 187 of 1123 with the error below: Exception: "Failed to download source file protected/modules/contacts/views/contacts/test.php. Check that the file is available on the update server at https://x2planet.com/updates/x2engine/protected/modules/contacts/views/contacts/test.php, and that x2planet.com can be accessed from this web server." in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\x2engine\protected\components\UpdaterBehavior.php L380 I have run the testfileslist.php file and it reports no issues so I'm kind of stuck
  12. Thanks Jake. Here's one that might be worth investigating http://codologic.com/page/
  13. Hi there brandonecarr, I had a similar question about restrictions and hiding parts of the system from certain user roles. Below is the reply I received from one of the X2 admins. Hope this helps:
